What makes students excited about machine learning?

Machine learning popularity has grabbed the whole world, especially it is very popular among college students. The reasons that might attract and excite the students are,

1. Due to the massive data availability from the web and from the IoT inspired devices.
2. It is very exciting to deal with unstructured data.
3. Data preprocessing sometimes can be very challenging.
4. Anyone can start a small project addressing the classification, regression or clustering problems with the open-source datasets.
5. Availability of high-end CPUs, GPUs, and TPUs as cloud services such as google colab at an affordable cost.
6. Plenty of packages in R and Python Programming environment are available; the community of python and R are also vast.
7. Students find it exciting to adopt already existing efficient machine learning algorithms such as neural computation, support vector machine, Bayesian classifiers, ensemble, and many algorithms.
8. Besides, recently the popularity of deep learning algorithms also has increased immensely; the image and video related problems' can be solved very easily nowadays with DL.
9. Starting from the Google self-driving car, cyber fraud detection to developing an online recommendation engine, machine learning is needed everywhere
10. The dimension of the data is increasing day by day, machine learning can add significant performance improvement towards big data paradigm.
11. Lastly dealing with imbalance data is another challenging task, which technically is tough to handle.
12. Free availability of online machine learning courses from  Coursera, edX, udemy, and datacamp.
